Day 1: Nairobi

Welcome to Kenya! On your arrival in Nairobi, a representative will meet and assist you through immigration and customs before your guest manager escorts you by private vehicle to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome safari briefing at your hotel, with rest of day at leisure. Can choose a dinner out and experience Nairobi by night

Day 2: Samburu

After breakfast, take a private vehicle transfer to Wilson Airport and board your flight to Samburu, passing the majestic Mount Kenya en route. Your 4WD vehicle and safari guide will be waiting for you on arrival, and you’ll immediately embark on your first game drive as you travel towards your luxury safari tented camp. After lunch, on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River, explore the surroundings on a late afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Samburu

Enjoy a day of game viewing in Samburu, a small but unique sanctuary that’s home to some wildlife species not found anywhere else, including the reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra and the beisa oryx. The Samburu landscape is a contrast of dramatic mountain ranges and arid scrub vegetation, with the Ewaso Ngiro River providing the lifeline of water within the sanctuary.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta

Enjoy spectacular views of snow-capped Mount Kenya as you drive south, enjoying a photo stop at the equator before arriving at Ol Pejeta – one of the finest private wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya, managed by an international conservation organisation. After lunch, take a late afternoon game drive, returning to your safari camp, built around a floodlit waterhole. Dinner is served in the old farmhouse.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta

Today is full of game viewing the Ol Pejeta wildlife sanctuary, accompanied by your safari guide. It includes a visit to the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, where abandoned and rescued chimpanzees are rehabilitated. A selection of optional activities is available, including night game drives, escorted walking safaris and camel rides with the local naturalist.

Day 6: Maasai Mara

After breakfast, transfer to Nanyuki Airport and board your flight, taking you over the Great Rift Valley into the Masai Mara. Your safari vehicle and guide will meet you upon landing, and a short game drive will deliver you to your next luxury safari camp, set in the riverine forest where it meets the sweeping savannah plains. Settle into your tent and enjoy lunch before you set off on your afternoon game drive.

Day 7: Maasai Mara

Enjoy a morning of exceptional game viewing in the Masai Mara following herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, eland, topi, impala and hopefully, the big-5. Return to camp for lunch and a relaxed afternoon before heading off on your afternoon game drive, where herds of wildlife create a magical silhouette against the treeless savannah as the sun sets.  Enjoy dinner and a camp fire under the stars.

Day 8: Maasai Mara

Experience another day of game viewing with your knowledgeable driver-guide, learning about the reserve and the importance of this wilderness area and its flora and its fauna. Enjoy meals at camp, looking out over the river and end the day under the African sky, as the sounds of the night envelop you.

Day 9: Nairobi

After a final morning game drive, return for breakfast at the lodge before your transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Wilson airport in Nairobi. Your guest representative will meet and transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
