Kenya safari bookings

How to Book:

If you would like to book any of our Kenya safaris listed on this website then simply complete the Booking Enquiry Form stating the date when you plan to arrive and your chosen itinerary. Or if you wish to discuss your requirements or have any questions then please send us an email and we will be delighted to assist in looking after your arrangements.

We will reply promptly to confirm the price and availability, so that you can give us the go-ahead to make a booking. We will then make the booking for you and will ask you to complete a Booking Confirmation Form. A confirmation invoice will then be sent to you by email as confirmation of the services booked.

Payment of deposit and balance:

Payment terms: 20% deposit per person at the time of booking. Balance due 60 days prior to commencement of arrangements. Payments (deposit & final balance) may be made by direct bank transfer to our Nairobi bank account (details will be included with our confirmation invoice) or by credit card (see below).

Payment by credit / debit cards:

We can also accept payment by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) through our secure online payment system. Once your booking is confirmed and your sales consultant has emailed you the invoice, you will then receive an email from East Africa Shuttles and Safaris with a link that directs you to our secure online payment system, where you can enter your details and process your payment. No transaction fee is added by us for payment of the deposit by debit or credit card or if the full amount is paid at once. However your credit card company may add their own handling fee for processing a payment outside your home country. If the final balance is paid by credit card then a transaction fee of 3% is added to the amount of the balance to cover the credit card processing charges. Payment can also be made by debit card in the same way as credit cards but the banks in Kenya apply the same transaction fee for debit cards as for credit cards, so a fee of 3% is also added for payment of the final balance by debit card.

Your Financial Security when booking with East African Shuttles and Safaris:

If you are resident in the United Kingdom and pay for overseas travel arrangements using a credit card, under British law the Consumer Credit Act 1974 gives you full protection in the event that an overseas tour operator goes into receivership. If you paid for the services (even part of them) using a credit card, then you’re entitled to a full refund from your credit card company in the United Kingdom. The law covers goods worth between ÂŁ100 and ÂŁ30,000 but you’re completely covered even if you paid as little as ÂŁ1 deposit with your credit card and the remainder some other way. Please note that this protection applies only to credit cards, such as Visa and Mastercard, and not to debit cards, such as Maestro and Delta.

Cancellation Charges:

Our cancellation charges are determined by the fact that once we have booked with hotels and safari camps/lodges and with local airlines/train, they will charge us a cancellation fee if we cancel a booking. We try to keep such charges to a minimum and they are as follows, as a percentage of the total invoice charges:

Bookings cancelled or amended up to 120 days before commencement of the travel incur a 10% cancellation charge.
Cancellation or amendment less than 60 days but up to 30 days prior to commencement of the travel 50% refund, 50% cancellation charge.
Cancellation or amendment less than 30 days but up to 15 days prior to commencement of the travel 25% refund, 75% cancellation charge.
Cancellation or amendment less than 15 days or more than 3 days prior to commencement of the travel: 10% refund and 90% cancellation charge.
Cancellation or amendment 3 days or less before commencement of the travel – nil refund, 100% cancellation charge.
Please note that any refunds due to you in the event of cancellation can be credited only to the original card used for making the initial payment.

Cancellation Insurance:
